Interview: TK DaCyph
We recently got a chance to ask TK DaCyph some music background questions! Get to know this talented rapper by checking out the interview below.
Can you tell us a little about yourself/band? I go by the stage name TK DaCyph. Solo artist from Seat Pleasant, Maryland. I’m signed to my own label DGE (Da Gang Ent.) & also Major League Records. I’m playing locally and internationally right now. What are your must-haves when you're in the studio creating? Gas. Tree. Flower. Weed. Lls. Whatever you want to call it. Water, cottonmouth is crazy! Umm.. sometimes dark liquor. Depends on the song I’m creating. My Nike slides. Gotta get comfy. Last but not least. Food usually! My studio is my home so as long as I have my things, it’s gonna be a hit. No question. What is the best piece of advice in this business you actually used? Keep creating! You’ll never know your potential if you stop. This applies to any artist that has traction. Applying yourself in the right ways can afford you opportunities you didn’t think were possible. Will you be collaborating with any other artists in the future? Hell yea. There’s a couple artists I respect in the game right now. Not many. So the selection is limited. On My First Studio Album, I didn’t want it to be heavily flooded with features because I wanted to show my range of musicality first. So, as soon as #SeatPleasantBaby Drops on all platforms, I got some hit features right behind it. Do you think your music is mostly enjoyed more for the beats or for the lyrical flow and content? I would have to say both. I take my time picking the beats as best I can so sometimes it might take me a month or more to put a song out. My bars and delivery I’ve been told is cold enough to knock some knee caps off lls. I try to cater to the audience of the season and what’s happening in that time period before releasing the song or mixtape.
